How to get started with Potty Whiz

You can start using Potty Whiz right away. You don't need an account, and it works without an internet connection.

Add your child

  1. Open Potty Whiz and tap Add Your First Child.
  2. Type your child's name.
  3. Optionally, choose a Gender, set a Birthday, and tap the picture to add a photo.
  4. Tap Save.

Your child now has a card on the home screen.

If a family member already uses Potty Whiz and sent you an invite, tap Got An Invite? instead. You'll be asked to sign in first. See How to join a family member's account.

Log your first activity

  1. Tap your child's card on the home screen.
  2. On the Activities tab, tap Activity.
  3. Pick what happened, such as Went Potty or Accident, add any details, and save.

See How to log a potty visit or accident. To get a nudge for the next potty break, tap Timer. See How to use the potty timer.

What you can track

Potty Whiz is made for the move from diapers to the potty, so you can start while your child still wears diapers or pull-ups. It works whether your child is just starting to sit on the potty or nearly trained. Out of the box you can log:

  • Potty: Sat On Potty, Went Potty (pee, poop or both), Accident, Drank Fluid and Dry checks.
  • Habits: Brush Teeth, Wash Hands, Get Dressed, Make Bed, Comb Hair, Put On Pajamas, Pick Up Toys and Put Away Dishes.

You can turn off the ones you don't need in your child's Settings tab. With Premium you can also add your own.

Why sign in

Potty Whiz works without an account, but your data then lives only on this phone. Signing in is free and lets you:

  • Back up your data and use it on more than one phone.
  • Share potty training with family members and caregivers.
  • Get Insights about your child's patterns.
  • Use the Potty Whiz Assistant, which is part of Premium.

To sign in, tap the gear icon at the top right of the home screen, then tap Sign In. Anything you logged before signing in is added to your account. See How to Sign In.

Free and Premium

The free plan includes logging, timers and progress for one child of your own. Premium adds more children, reminders, photos and videos, reports, family invites and more. See What's free and what's premium in Potty Whiz.

Troubleshooting

  • I can't add a second child: the free plan includes one child of your own.
  • "A Name is Required" means the name is empty. Type your child's name and tap Save again.
