How to log a potty visit or accident

Every pee, poop, accident, drink and dry check you log helps you see your child's patterns. Logging is free, and it works without signing in or an internet connection.

Log an activity

  1. On the dashboard, tap your child's card.
  2. On the Activities tab, tap Activity.
  3. Check the date and time at the top. They start at the current time, even if you picked another day on the calendar. Tap the date or the time to log something that happened earlier.
  4. Choose Potty or Habits, then tap the activity, such as Went Potty or Accident.
  5. Add any details you want (see below). Every detail is optional.
  6. Tap Save.

Potty has Sat On Potty, Went Potty, Accident, Drank Fluid and Dry. Habits has everyday routines such as Brush Teeth and Wash Hands.

The details

  • What Type Of Potty? (for Went Potty and Accident): 1 is a pee, 2 is a poop, and 1 & 2 is both.
  • Told Parents?, Wiped?, Flushed Potty? and Washed Hands? (for Sat On Potty, Went Potty and Dry): tap each one that happened.
  • Almost Made It? (for Accident): tap it when your child leaked or had the accident on the way to the potty.
  • How much did they drink? (for Drank Fluid): choose fl oz or mL, then pick an amount under Select Amount. Your choice also changes the Measurement Units setting.
  • With other children?: if you have more than one child, pick the others who did this too. The entry then shows on each of their lists.
  • Comment: add a note, such as where it happened or what helped.
  • Photos and Video: Premium; see How to add photos or videos to an activity.

Leaked, then finished on the potty?

Log two entries:

  1. An Accident with Almost Made It? for the leak.
  2. A Went Potty for the part that made it into the potty.

That way both the near miss and the success show in your child's progress.

Celebrations

After you save a new Went Potty, a celebration plays with "Well Done" and your child's name. Tap Done to close it. See How to choose celebration animations.

Log from a reminder

If you use reminders (Premium), today's reminders show in a card under the calendar, such as "2 Reminders today". Tap the card to open it, then tap a reminder to start a new activity.

Other ways to log

Troubleshooting

  • "This time is in the future.": the time you picked is later than now. If the app offers "Did you mean ...?", tap it to fix an AM/PM mix-up. Otherwise pick an earlier time; you can't save until it's fixed.
  • The activity I want isn't in the list: it may be switched off for this child. Tap Settings at the end of the list, then switch it on.
  • I logged it on the wrong day or time: see How to edit, copy or delete an activity.
