Accessing Your Original Account: Correcting Your Sign-In Method

We've noticed that some users inadvertently create two separate accounts when using our apps: one with a regular email address and another with Apple Sign-In. This can lead to issues, especially if you have a paid subscription on one account but not the other. Here's how to ensure you're accessing your original account with all your features and subscriptions:

Understanding the Issue

  1. You initially created an account using your regular email address.
  2. Later, you used "Sign in with Apple" and chose the "Hide My Email" option.
  3. This created a second, separate account instead of accessing your original one.

Steps to Access Your Original Account

  1. Sign out of your current account in our app.
  2. Do not use "Sign in with Apple" for this login attempt.
  3. Sign in using your original email address (the one you used when first creating your account).
  4. Verify your subscription and account details to ensure you're in the correct account.

What to Do Next

  • Going forward, always use your original email address to sign in.
  • If you don't remember your password, use the "Forgot Password" option to reset it.
  • Consider disabling or removing the Apple Sign-In option for our app in your Apple ID settings to avoid future confusion.

Preventing This Issue in the Future

When using "Sign in with Apple" for any app:

  • Try to use the same email address as your original account.
  • Avoid using the "Hide My Email" option if you already have an account with the service.

What Happens to the Apple Sign-In Account?

The separate account created with Apple Sign-In will remain inactive. It doesn't have access to your subscription or main account data. You can safely ignore it and continue using your original account.
