Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This policy explains what Kidplay Technologies LLC ("Kidplay", "we", "us") collects, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It covers our apps, Doggy Time, Potty Whiz, Chore Boss, Kid Hop and Fever Whiz (including their watch apps and widgets), our websites (kidplay.app, kidplay.tech and each app's own site), and our support, email and notification services.

1. The short version

  • We collect what you enter in our apps, what we need to run your account, and information about how the apps and websites are used.
  • We use it to run the apps, sync your data across your devices and with the people you invite, support you, improve our products, and send messages you can turn off.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use health information or information about children for advertising.
  • Some features of our apps and websites use AI models to answer your questions and help with your records.
  • You can see, correct, export or delete your information, as described in section 10.

2. Who we are

Kidplay Technologies LLC, a Georgia (United States) limited liability company, is the controller of your personal information. You can reach us at legal@kidplay.app.

3. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name and email address, or the details your sign-in provider shares with us if you sign in with Apple or Google. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive a relay address instead. A device, such as a child's, can join a family without an account or email address; we then keep an identifier for that device and the family it belongs to.

What you record in the apps

Each app stores what you choose to enter, so it can show it back to you, remind you, and sync it across your devices and with the people you share it with:

  • Doggy Time: your pets' profiles and photos, and logs of walks, meals, potty breaks, training, health and care.
  • Potty Whiz: a child's potty training logs, schedules, rewards and progress.
  • Chore Boss: family members' profiles, chores, rewards, points and allowance balances, and photos or videos of completed chores.
  • Kid Hop: carpools, members and drivers, children's names, pickup and drop-off places and schedules, rides, and messages between members.
  • Fever Whiz: a child's name, age, weight and known allergies; medicines and doses, temperatures and symptoms; notes, photos and videos (for example a medicine label or a rash); reminders; and care-provider contact details.

Health information

Fever Whiz and Potty Whiz hold health-related information about a child, and Doggy Time holds health information about a pet. We use a child's health information to provide the app's features. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

Photos, videos and voice

When you allow it, our apps use your camera, photo library and microphone so you can add photos and videos to your records, and so you can dictate messages to the assistant. Dictation uses your device's speech recognition, which Apple or Google may process on their servers under their own privacy policies; we receive only the resulting text.

Location

  • Doggy Time uses your location, including in the background while an activity is running, to record walks and other activities with their route and distance.
  • Kid Hop uses your location, including in the background during a ride, to track carpool rides and show their progress and arrival times.
  • Potty Whiz, Chore Boss and Fever Whiz do not use your location.

Both apps also use your device's motion sensors to record activities and rides more accurately. You can turn location access off at any time in your device's settings; the features that need it will stop working. We do not sell location data or share it with advertisers.

Purchases

When you buy a subscription or purchase, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive a record of the purchase (product, price, dates and status), not your card details.

Device, usage and diagnostic information

When you use our apps and websites, we and our service providers collect information such as your device type and operating system, app version, language and region, IP address, identifiers for the app installation, which screens and features you use and when, and crash and error reports. We use it to keep the apps working, fix problems, understand which features are used, and measure our marketing.

If you installed an app after seeing one of our ads in the App Store or Google Play, we receive which campaign led to the install. We do not use your device's advertising identifier to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

AI features

Some features of our apps, such as the assistant, use AI models to answer your questions and help with your records; see section 5.

Help chat

Each app's Help screen has a help chat that answers questions about the app. For signed-in users it may also look up your subscription status and who is in your account, so it can answer questions about your purchase, sign-in or syncing.

Support and messages

When you contact our support team, we keep the conversation, with your name, email, user ID and app details, so we can help you. Our support and messaging providers also receive your user ID, name, email and information about how you use the app, so we can show you messages inside the app, and they receive anything you choose to write or attach in a support conversation. We send emails (for example a welcome email, tips, news about the app, and our other apps) and push notifications.

Surveys

We sometimes invite you to answer a short survey by email or in an app. We keep your answers with your user ID and app and device details, to understand what is working and what to improve. Answers are saved as you go, so the questions you answered are kept even if you do not finish the survey. Our team may receive copies of answers in its internal tools.

Our websites

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies for analytics, to remember your preferences, and to measure our marketing. See section 9 for your choices.

When you use a free tool on our websites, we keep what you entered and the result so we can show it to you. Some tools use AI to write the result. Each result has its own link, and anyone you share that link with can see it, so do not enter anything you would not want them to see. To delete a result, email legal@kidplay.app with its link.

When you type a question into the assistant demo on our websites, we keep the question and the answer for 90 days to improve the demo and our apps. We do not store your IP address with it, but our website analytics record that you asked a question, so the question can be linked to your visit.

When you join a device's waitlist on our websites or in our apps, we keep your email address, your language and region setting, and where you signed up, to tell you about the device. You can leave the list from any of our emails, and an address that is not confirmed within 30 days is deleted.

The assistant demo, the waitlist and some tools use a bot-protection service to block automated abuse, which receives information about your browser and device, including your IP address. Each form names the service and links its terms.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting what happened before.

5. AI features

Some features of our apps and websites, such as the assistant, the help chat, the assistant demo and some tools, use AI models from a third-party provider. The provider processes your information only to produce the result and, under its contract with us, does not use it to train models.

We keep help chat questions and answers for 365 days to improve our help articles, review problems and follow up when you ask for a person. AI answers can be wrong; see our Terms of Service.

6. Who we share information with

People you choose. Your records are shared with the people you invite into your account, family, household or carpool, who can see and change what is shared there. In Kid Hop, the members of a carpool see each other's names, the children in the carpool, pickup and drop-off places and times, rides and messages.

Service providers. We use companies that process information for us under contract, only to provide their service to us:

  • hosting, storage and databases;
  • AI models (see section 5);
  • analytics and error reporting;
  • customer support, in-app messaging, email and push notifications;
  • purchase records;
  • maps;
  • bot protection on our websites;
  • sign-in, app store ad attribution and speech recognition (Apple and Google);
  • internal tools our team uses to be alerted to new help questions, feedback and survey answers.

Legal and safety. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Kidplay.

Business transfers. If Kidplay is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may transfer to the new owner, who must keep honoring this policy.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Children

Most of our apps are for parents, caregivers and guardians to record information about a child. Chore Boss is also made for children to use, on a parent's device (in kid mode) or on their own device joined to the parent's family.

A parent or guardian sets up the account and controls the family. When a child uses an app, we collect only what the app needs to work: the child's name or nickname, the records the family keeps (such as chores done or potty logs), any photos or videos the family adds, and technical information about the device. We do not sell children's information, and we do not use it for advertising. A parent can review, change or delete their child's information in the app, or by emailing legal@kidplay.app, and can stop further collection by removing the child's profile or device.

By adding a child or letting a child use an app under your account, you confirm that you are the child's parent or guardian, or are authorized by them. If you believe a child gave us personal information without a parent's consent, contact legal@kidplay.app and we will delete it.

8. How long we keep information

  • Account and app records: while your account is active, and until you ask us to erase them.
  • Help chat questions: 365 days.
  • Feedback you send through the assistants: your user ID is removed after 365 days, and the feedback is kept as a short summary. The summary is written to leave out personal details, but may still contain some if you included them, and you can ask us to delete it.
  • Assistant demo questions: 90 days.
  • Website tool results: until you ask us to delete one.
  • Waitlist sign-ups: until you leave the list or we no longer need it for that device; unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 30 days.
  • Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

We keep other information for as long as we need it for the purposes in section 4, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

9. Your choices

  • Device permissions: turn camera, photos, microphone, speech recognition, location, motion and notification access on or off in your device's settings.
  • Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Push notifications: turn them off in the app or your device's settings.
  • Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy in a portable format;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • object to or restrict some processing, including direct marketing;
  • withdraw consent you gave us;
  • not be discriminated against for using these rights.

Deleting your account. Deleting your account in the app's account settings closes it. To have the information we hold about you or your child erased, email legal@kidplay.app.

Making a request. Email legal@kidplay.app. We will confirm your identity, usually by asking you to write from the email address on the account, and answer within 30 days, or sooner if your local law requires. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your signed permission.

Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject. We will answer within 45 days, and if we still decline, you may contact your state attorney general.

Complaints. In the EU or UK you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers process information in the United States and other countries. When we transfer personal information from the EU, UK or Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK addendum), or on the recipient's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

12. Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the authorities of a breach as the law requires.

13. Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we may also let you know in the apps or by email.
