What do the activities mean?
Doggy Time's less obvious activities cover everyday care, habitat care, food, exercise, body care and breeding. Open your pet, go to the Settings tab and turn activities on or off.
Doggy Time works for many kinds of pets, so some activities are only useful for some of them. Here's what the less obvious ones are for.
Everyday care
- Crate: time your pet spends in their crate, with a timer.
- Health Condition: an illness, injury or ongoing condition, such as an allergy or a limp.
- Accident: a potty accident, for example indoors.
- Journal: a note about your pet's day that isn't tied to one activity.
Habitat care
For reptiles, fish, small pets and other pets that live in a tank, cage or enclosure.
- Habitat Cleaning: cleaning the tank, cage or enclosure.
- Substrate Change: replacing the bedding, sand, soil or other floor material.
- Water Change: changing some or all of the water in a tank.
- Temperature Check and Humidity Check: checking the habitat's temperature or humidity. These have no number box, so write the reading in the note.
Temperature is different: it records your pet's body temperature, with a number.
Food and handling
- Live Feeding: feeding live food, such as insects or mice.
- Foraging: time spent searching for food, for example in a forage box.
- Handling: time spent holding your pet to keep them tame and used to people.
Exercise
- Flying, Swimming and Climbing: time spent out flying, swimming or climbing, with a timer.
Body care
- Shedding: a reptile shedding its skin.
- Molting: a bird or chicken losing and regrowing feathers.
