Photos and videos from your pet activities are stored on your device and backed up to the cloud. Over time, this can use up significant storage space. Here's how to free up space while keeping your memories safe in the cloud.
Accessing Storage Settings
- From the dashboard screen, tap the settings icon at top right
- Tap Settings
- Tap Manage Storage
What You'll See
- Local Storage Usage - How much space your photos and videos are using
- Sync Status - How many files are safely backed up to the cloud vs. still uploading
Freeing Up Space
Option 1: Offload All Synced Files
Tap Offload All Synced Files to remove local copies of everything that's been backed up. Your photos and videos will still be viewable from the cloud.
Option 2: Offload Older Files Only
Keep recent memories on your device while removing older ones:
- Tap Select timeframe under "Offload files older than"
- Choose 3 months, 6 months, 12 months, or 2 years
- Confirm when prompted
Option 3: Automatic Cleanup
Enable Cloud Storage Only at the bottom of the Manage Storage screen. New photos and videos will automatically be removed from your device after they're uploaded.
Important Notes
- Only files that have been synced to the cloud can be offloaded
- Files still uploading (shown as "pending") will remain on your device
- Offloaded photos and videos are still viewable in the app - they'll load from the cloud
- Make sure you have an internet connection to view offloaded files
