Quick Tasks let you create single-task chores without the full chore creation form.
How to Create a Quick Task
- Tap the + button on the home screen
- Select Add Task from the menu
- Browse or search the task list
- Tap a task to select it
- Configure chore settings (assignments, recurrence, rewards)
- Tap Save
The Task Picker
- Tasks are grouped by area (Kitchen, Bedroom, Pets, etc.)
- Use the search bar to filter by task or area name
- Common tasks appear first and are marked with a star
- Each task shows its parent area as a subtitle
After Creation
Quick tasks become regular chores. They appear on the Home screen by day and in the Chores tab. You can edit, complete, or delete them like any other chore.
When to Use Quick Tasks
- Adding a one-off task that doesn't need grouping with other tasks
- Quickly assigning a single responsibility to a family member
- Creating chores from familiar preset tasks
For multi-task chores or custom configurations, use the full Add Chore option instead.
