How to join a home with an invite code

Someone invited you to their home in Chore Boss. Here is how to join it from your own phone.

Before you start

Ask the other person to send you an invite. They do this from Share Invite Code on your member card. See How to invite other users to a home.
Install Chore Boss on your phone.
You need to sign in to join a home. See How to Sign In.

Open Chore Boss and tap Settings at the bottom of the screen.
Tap Join a Home. If you are not signed in yet, sign in first and the join screen opens next.
Join in one of two ways:
- Via QR Code: tap Scan and point your camera at the QR code on the other person's phone.
- Via Text, Email or WhatsApp: paste the link or code you received into Invite code or link, then tap Join.
When you see Success, tap Done.

You can also tap the link in the invitation you received.

If you open Chore Boss for the first time, you can also tap Join a Home on the welcome screen.

Chore Boss switches to the home you joined and selects the member the invite was made for.
Their chores, rewards and members appear in a few moments.

If the person who invited you has premium, you get the premium features too, without paying. See Will users I invite into my account also need a subscription?

"That doesn't look like a valid invite code or link. Check the invitation and try again." Copy the whole link or code from the invitation and paste it again.
"That QR code isn't an invitation. Try again or enter the code." Scan the QR code on the Share Invite Code screen of the other person's phone, or paste the link instead.
"Error processing invitation" Check your internet connection and try again. If it keeps happening, ask the other person to send a new invite.
I don't see Join a Home: the member selected on this phone has Limit Access. Ask a parent to switch the profile, or join on a phone where you are signed in with your own account.
