How to create custom rewards

Custom rewards are prizes kids can buy with the points they earn, like extra screen time or a trip for ice cream. They are used in homes whose Reward Type is Points. Creating custom rewards is a premium feature.

Create a custom reward

1. Open your rewards in one of these ways:
   • Tap +, then Add Custom Reward.
   • Tap the Settings tab, then Custom Rewards.
   • On the Rewards tab, tap the gift icon (points homes only).
2. If you opened the list, tap Custom Reward.
3. Fill in the reward:
   • Reward Name: for example "Extra Screen Time".
   • Point Cost: how many points it takes to redeem.
   • Renewable: turn on if it can be redeemed more than once.
   • Notes: any details, optional.
   • Tap the picture at the top to add a photo, optional.
4. Tap Save.

If Renewable is off, the reward can be redeemed only once in your home.

Edit or delete a custom reward

1. Open Custom Rewards and tap the reward.
2. Tap the menu at the top right.
3. Tap Edit or Delete.

The reward screen also shows Times Claimed and Last Claimed.

Redeem a reward

Troubleshooting

• "Custom rewards require points mode to be enabled in account settings" Your home uses allowance. Change the Reward Type to Points in Home Settings. See How to choose allowance or points.
• Adding a reward opens the upgrade screen. Custom rewards need premium. See What's free and what's premium in Chore Boss.
• "Failed to redeem reward. Please try again." If the reward is not Renewable and was already redeemed, it cannot be redeemed again. Edit the reward and turn on Renewable, or create a new one.
• "Point cost must be at least 1" Enter a Point Cost of 1 or more.
