# How to Use the Kid Hop Assistant

Tap Assistant in the bottom bar and ask about your carpools, or ask it to make a change. It shows you what will change, and you tap Confirm.

The Kid Hop Assistant answers questions about your carpools and makes changes for you, in your own words.
Ask who is driving on Friday, or tell it to sign you up to drive tomorrow.
The assistant is part of Kid Hop Premium, and you need to be signed in to use it.

## Open the assistant

- Tap **Assistant** in the bottom bar.
- On a carpool's screens, you can also tap the assistant button in the bottom corner.

Type your question, or tap the microphone and say it.
Not sure where to start? Tap a suggestion, like **What's on the schedule tomorrow?** or **Who is driving on Friday?**

## What you can ask

- What's on the schedule, who is driving and who is riding on any day.
- Which rides still need a driver.
- How many seats are left in your car.
- Tips for running a carpool, like sharing the school run fairly. These answers come from Kid Hop's guides.

## What it can do for you

- Sign you up to drive a trip, or on a repeating schedule, and take you off a trip.
- Add your child to a ride or take them off, and add them to a carpool.
- Change how many seats you have, for one ride or for the whole carpool.
- Add a rider, a place or a new carpool.
- Send a message to a carpool's group chat.
- Get the invite link for a carpool.

The carpool's owner or an administrator can also ask it to edit the carpool, add or edit its events, cancel or restore one day of an event, and spread the driving fairly across the drivers.
The owner can also remove a member.

## Nothing changes until you confirm

Before the assistant changes anything, it shows you exactly what will change.
Tap **Confirm** to save it, or **Cancel** to leave everything as it is.

## Start a new conversation

Tap the delete button at the top of the **Assistant** screen, then confirm **Delete this chat?**
This clears the conversation only; your carpools and rides stay as they are.

## Turn the assistant off

Tap **More**, then **Settings**, and turn off **AI Assistant**.
This hides the **Assistant** tab and the assistant button on carpool screens.

## Troubleshooting
