# How to note a car seat or booster seat

Open Account, tap your rider's row, choose ⋮ then Edit, pick Car seat, Booster seat or No car seat needed under Car seat, then tap Save.

Kid Hop can show drivers which riders need a car seat or a booster seat, and warn when a car doesn't have one.

## For a rider

1. Open **Account** and tap the riders count (for example **2 Riders**).
2. On your rider's row, tap **⋮**, then **Edit**.
3. Under **Car seat**, choose **Car seat**, **Booster seat** or **No car seat needed**.
4. Tap **Save**.

The other families in your carpools see it on their phones.

## For your car

1. Open the carpool and tap the members count.
2. On your own card, tap **⋮**, then **Set Seats Available**.
3. Set your **Car seats** and **Booster seats**, then tap **Save**.

## When a car is short

A rider who needs a seat shows a car seat icon next to their name.
A car whose riders need more car seats or booster seats than it has shows a line like "Needs 1 booster seat".
When you add a rider to a car without the seat they need, Kid Hop tells you, but still lets you add them, in case a parent hands over a seat.
