# How to make another parent an administrator

Only the carpool owner can make another parent an administrator. Open the carpool, tap the members count, tap ⋮ on the parent's card, then tap Make Administrator and confirm.

Every carpool has one owner, and the owner can make other parents administrators to share the work.

## What each role can do

- **Owner**: everything, including deleting the carpool and making or removing administrators.
- **Administrator**: sign other parents up to drive, remove members, and edit the carpool.
  An administrator cannot remove the owner or another administrator, and cannot delete the carpool.
- **Member**: drive, book their own riders, set their own seats, and leave the carpool.

## Make a parent an administrator

Only the owner can do this.

1. Open the carpool and tap the members count (for example **3 Members**).
2. On the parent's card, tap **⋮**.
3. Tap **Make Administrator**, then confirm.

To undo it, tap **⋮** on their card, then **Remove Administrator**.
They stay in the carpool as a regular member.

## Leave a carpool

Anyone except the owner can leave.

1. Open the carpool.
2. Tap **⋮** at the top right.
3. Tap **Leave Carpool**, then **Leave**.

Your riders and your upcoming rides leave with you, unless another parent from your family stays in the carpool.
The owner cannot leave; they can delete the carpool instead.
